Review

WinUndelete is a powerful and handy solution that allows you recover accidentally deleted files from your hard disk and many removable devices such as USB external drive, flash drive, memory cards, Iomage Zip disks, Mo, Jaz disks, among others. It supports both FAT and NTFS file systems. It recovers files erased from the recycle bin; compressed, encrypted and fragmented files on NTFS; files lost from a network share or the DOS command prompt; and even files lost due to virus infection, system crashes, Trojans, among other threats. The program also includes a scan wizard that allows you to search for files for recovery very easily and fast, customizing every step of the process. It also allows you to search files by partial file name, path name, extension and file type. Moreover, it includes a built-in previewer that shows you plain text, images and Microsoft Office documents before recovering them to be sure they are the ones you are looking for. The user interface is simple but very intuitive, offering all the features at hand. The price is rather expensive and you can get better similar programs for less money or even free. It supports Win 95/98/Me/NT/2000/XP/2003/Vista.
Advantages
  • Easy to use. Simple and intuitive user interface. Includes a previewer.
Disadvantages
  • A little bit expensive.
